Computer Gaming Hardware

Reviews, Ratings, and More ™

For as much as I know, Antec goes pretty well on the built of their cases and also power supplies, with some being one of the best choice for most computer and also gaming computers. With Antec’s, and my favorite, the performance one P182 SE revision, one of the most versatile cases I have ever seen, with some of the cases in independent computer stores are also good, but for the usual people, they like the variation of PC cases. For the more mainstream cases like the P182, the gaming PC is a ultimate reason for a cases to be open with a lot of air flow and very appealing to the eyes, for the Antec 900 is one of them.

For the Antec 900 is a the middle variant of the gaming series of Antec, with the 300 is the cheaper unit while the 1200 is the ultimate case with the full-tower configuration and can even fit a skulltrail with no problems, but the only problem with it is where you going to place the case and also being heavy when fully configured. For the Antec is a mid-tower form factor to fit a full ATX motherboard. With the open window and a look of a cage rather than a maximum security detention unit, you can see with the fan LED’s on to have it glowing in the dark. For the Antec 900, it has two front LED fans and have an external 5.2in optical drives with the front covered with aluminum mesh. With dual phase cooling the cool air going inside at the front and exhausting in the back or in the top of the large 200mm fan.

With the case can hold up to nine internal or all external 5.2in optical drives, with the two fans below is bundled with he case which can hold to six 3.5in HDD bays. With the optional side fans to exhaust the GPU heat and with the back and top fans to exhaust the CPU and the motherboard, for two or triple phase exhaust. For the most part the power supply is placed at the bottom, the motherboard not having a worry for side 24-pin in the side, but on the top is a hassle for some, while the fans when turned to the max is not bad for the game is played in high or deaf when using the earphones, the noise level is about 50dBA at load and at idle is at 35dBA for the much anticipated a bit of loud noise and also not bad force of air flow, can sometimes increase the chance that you need to clean the case in a week, so the filter can be an extra with the Antec 900.

For most the versatility of the case with good air flow and a look of a gaming case, with an attractive price, for about less than $160 you can have a gaming PC with that, for the think I like most is that it doesn’t look neat to me, for it looks bare, but for a cheap gaming case the Antec is a great choice.
