This game might be that old, for almost ten or so years, Starcraft really began the era of RTS dominance in the 20th century, with almost 2million copies sold, not to mention the other statistic of how many people prirated this thing, not anymore stunnig and vivid as I image it to be ,but in the era it was the heigth and one of the best games to be made by Blizzard, and not to mention it other games, Diablo (RPG), Warcraft (RTS) and the upcoming Star craft II (RTS). And this game really made graphical nerds still aww amazed, by how Blizzard at that time can create such a fine tuned game in its time, well it was ahead of it’s time, literally.
This game has a story line between three races that you can control, Zerg, the mindless, insect like alien race which they dislike others by eating of their heads, The Protoss, a advance race with futuristic weapons and robotic armies who are (you may say a happy trigger finger kind of race) and laslty the Terran the lost peoples of earth who are wandering around and find their place in the universe, and they basically take control of a race and just blast your way to point A to point B, but there are cases that some missions, that really bring life to the game. Single player campaign is that you choose, in a sequence, the races you can play. Gameplay is stunning and the story line is well thought out, grpahics is too old for my video card, but still recongizes it, reaching a frame speed of about 213fps, the only flaw in this one is the chaet enablility on this game, is because the diffuclty level is basically in defauslt and unchangable, just to help for those gamers who are stuck in a level, well Blizzard need to really use their time wisely by spacing their time with the images, the graphics and by costumizing for on the AI ( artificial intelligence) to at least place two more on their default difficulty level.
Multiplayer in Starcraft, is some what of its fun factor to be kind of short, with the one-in-one battle and all against each other is really unlimited, to the terms of the variety of game mods you can do in other games like Warcraft III which has team multiplayer on so, you can team up with your friends online and beat the crap out of the other guys. As this game goes out of date later of the year, probably in the distribution of the new Starcraft 2 game, but in that time, this game will still be in the gamers hearts from 1998 to now, and it is still a game that started the RTS games and ranked as the second best games of all, the first is the Sims, it really still a strong game.
