The Warhammer series on PC is a great outstanding game, even if it is how long now, way back in 2004. Warhammer started off as a real world action figures that you can paint modify and also, if you have enough figurines, you can make a great past time imagination by having large scale, and I mean large scale to almost overwhelm you enemies but take the whole dining table as well. So we in the gaming industry, well I was kicked out in the few years ago for indecent assault of animate characters in a certain game, but they are ready to make the games that is an annoying sight when taking all of the space of a whole room to a much smaller table with a computer to run it.
While it gave a board game a real change into a PC game, they also introduced a new type of game play, with also the annoying population cap in place, with the new squad based interface by having not one but a whole group of the same unit and to add more potential of a squads efficiency in battle, you can attach powerful units to increase fire power and influence. Just to give a main point of this RTS game, that it gives out a different way of strategy, by controlling multiple units, you have an advantage over a single unit, more fire power and also in some cases, conquer an entire base. But for the best old time games for the day is the Dawn of War, just as the story line goes, it is in the 41st millennium and man has colonies many planets and through time and unlimited amounts of space, we find out that we also not alone. Orks also prowl in space making war on anything that they we, even them and mysterious the Eldar being one of those races that thinks they are the enlighten one and protectors of the universe, plus us the human people that fill up the blimps in the game and the Fallen Space Marines.
Game normally set in the evens happening in a certain planet I forgot, were war always break out and the orks have interfered in your work of law and order. Just to make it worse as you progress in the game, some sinister work is happening in the planet and reveals secrets of the planets history and what is really driving the people and its inhabitants mad.
Being a squad based interface and also a limited pop limit, you have to your strategy rather than brute force, this may annoy players who usual play an unlimited unit pop and overwhelming the enemy with large amount of forces, this can be a disadvantage and an advantage, for reasons like making it hard makes it more appealing to people but unlimited forces makes you vulnerable to a counter attack (just as personal experience of the game). And also the game play itself is amazing, using crates for added defence and use of moral to make you win or break you after a game; it is a challenging and fun game and gives a balance of skill and speciality of units.
