ASUS being more innovative award in Bit-tech late last year, if you don’t believe me go to their website and see for yourself, just to have the motherboard, graphics and sound card makers and all sorts of computer oriented hardware you can think of, excluding mind control devices and crazy robots made by Honda. Just as it is made by 1.3 billion people, ASUS still has an abundant supply of whatever we want hardware, plus the help of the economic slowdown these guy gets desperate and lower the prize to entice customers; still having the money and the means to buy it. So ASUS just made a new NVIDIA 9800GT card into a media power house; meet in a super cool design the ASUS 9800GT matrix.
If you never been a big fan of the Matrix movie, you going to love how this card can do, first of it is powered with the G92 core, just the same as the former 8800GT cards but fabricated in a smaller 55nm form and increased of the clock frequency and the memory and shader units. But still being a steroid induced 8800GT, the only difference is the availability of both of them, the 8-sereis are already gone and the 9 series for NVIDIA is now an industry standard. But to just to give it a bling with the 9800GT matrix to the other 9800GT’s is the black coloured fan and heat-sink combo cooler, just as the previous 9600GT matrix design, it is visually stunning and plus the appeal of increased power than the 9600GT. They both are practically the same as in noise production in the fan and also the same temps while at load, But giving the 30to 35% increase of frequency and as it is a 9800GT, for just a few dollars up gives it a strong point in performance in games more on the physics side of the spectrum. Plus another thing, with the 9800GT matrix this is supposed to be a media solutions graphics, with one HDMI output to plug it in your HD TV to play blu-ray movies in a large screen, but if you happen to find a HDMI connection in your monitor you are just lucky to have a better crisp colour production that in DVI connection, but being DVI as a standard connection, why would we go a connection step higher.
Then going, strictly on numbers, the 9800GT just beats the previous 9600GT in calculation in Sisoftsandra and 5 to 10 frames faster in most recent games; Farcry 2 and Crysis just to name a few. Typically being a good alternative to the older 8800GT, but having problems of only beating it in fraction of the speed in games, but if you just missed the 8800GT, the 9800Gt is a great buy and plus the native us of a HDMI output.
