For the memory industry in the DDR3 triple channel technology is kind of new to us, with the introduction with the new Intel core 7i more of which in the case are quite expensive and also with both of them in common have to use of QPI interface rather than the old FSB one that the Intel core 2 uses. So we would think that AMD would come in to the head of the conversation and make one of their own DDR3 triple channel boards, but they are only stuck with the new AM3 socket that has the same standard with the old FSB, DDR3 dual channel and the usuals, like AMD is having the potential to having a current onboard memory chipset and using it in its glowing colour to have a similar or just par feature but not taking the initiative a long time ago.
So Kingston made especially for the core 7i chipset, the KHX high-performance memory chips with a 3×3GB kit triple channel enabled. So if an existing user of the new Core7i or just a new convert this can be a new product memory for you. This non-ECC memory is a single layer PCB silicone that really uses all of the small space with just a few chips onboard. Given that everything is getting smaller in the progress of technology and the progressiveness of how small your house is can be a good thing just thinking a full 3 or 4 GB in a single side chip, can be a good thing to cut the cost of the manufacturing price but it is a bad thing when your house price has just cut in half in the economic crisis. But with the interest of saving the economy buy spending in reasonable amount a 3GB kit is not a bad move with only about $230 online. The core specs of the memory are, QPI of DDR3 QPI of 1600MHz with a memory latency of 8-8-8-24 with a stock voltage input of 1.65V in all of the three of the modules. The memory hard stuff is a green coloured PCB and a relatively mid-profile aluminum heat-spreaders with the usual brand covered all over it.
Stock performance of the Kingston KHX DDR3, is quite similar to all of the all-round stock 1600MHz memory but the Kingston edging on in the memory bandwidth with good all-round scores just beating the DDR2 and DDR3 dual channel. But somehow latencies are a bit low being beaten by slower DDR2’s in Sisoftsandra and Everest. Yes this is a low 1.65V memory but just like the same as all DDR triple core 7i certified memory is that you may likely damage the core itself, so use in caution.
