Alienware is a company that specializes on solely on the gamers, (that’s why this website is called, we review them) it is a part of Dell corp. so it is more recognized than Puget (which is reviewed in computer games). Dell has brought to you by many products like the Inspiron desktops and their laptops that have amazing battery life, about three hours at least, but with a few extras, blue-tooth and a single PCMIA, which was depressing for its low expandability, just for the price. While it is a part of Dell crop, Alienware still competing with over major gaming computer companies like Voodoo and even its superiors Dell with their own XPS series. As their systems are great and fast, they completely flawed the customer satisfaction on their systems, many critics say that they have a bad reputation to the costumers, like high prices and shady dealing with other people, but all, in all they have pretty neat desktops and other computer products.
While they have a range of products to entry-level to experience gamers, Area-51 ALX really caught my eye, (but not the price) it really is a hard-looking system, with Quad core technology, with the choice of using a crossfire or SLI enabled graphics and also the best of all, you can customize wherever you want, what ever you need. Thought the internet, you may add a physics card in your system, but it is not recommended, because programs, especially gaming, use little or not use of the physics GPU for calculation AI (artificial intelligence) because they just pre-render the AI’s anyway, but the physics card can be used in very intensive programs, like animation or graphical instruments that need large chunks of calculating speed. Benchmarking and other programs is a great plus to prepare yourself on gaming and rev up the frequency to increase speed of your system. While Intel is based on this system, there a still a few boards that support AMD chips, while their advantage is a lower cost of the system, but the performance is mediocre. So this system is pro-Intel based.
The benchmarks are astonishing; you don’t even know what to do with it. You don’t even need to know the score of the 3D mark, you just need to read this review and be a believer. Others say that the performance is blazing fast, and others, like us, are speechless on the speed of this monster. If you’re the person who is a bit of a tight arse, this system is too expensive and too pricy, for your little pocket, and makes to build your own computer looks attractive, even it fails, good old warrantee will take care of that.
Conclusion: a fast computer, while the expectation of the price is high.
