While the sniper is your ultimate death killer in any game, the annoying kill head shots in games and also they never to amaze me that they can still win a fight with just a few guys hiding a picking off one by one, well we could think this as the new CoolerMaster Sniper. A real new phase change for CoolerMaster, this ATX board holder looks like one of those hybrid cases that it looks like an overall shape as the Cosmos and full features of the CoolerMaster HAF. Well it is a great thing when we want to have a middle end product to fit in where most cases don’t really like to be placed at, depending on the pricing of this case (it would be nice to place it in the $150 online).
Put down to the specs of the case, the design aesthetics of the CoolerMaster sniper is the use of full aluminium body but still having plastic fillings in and around the case, plus at the bottom of the case where the large 200mm LED fan is placed and glows into a blue colour when turned on, and some side meshed windows, not good for looking it but to let light shine out of the case. But for the most part it the I/O front jacks in the case with all you can have simple storage solutions; four USB ports, one firewire and also an eSATA port, plus the usual audio and mic jacks, plus an additional feature where you can toggle lights of the case. So now in the internal part of the case, with full spacious interior you would have any problem fitting a full features ATX board and also spacious back plate for those people who like a streak free look on the board with no wire intrusions, but has some other upsides and open CPU back plate makes it easier to air to flow thought in turn a better airflow. With all the expansion slots present with screw less design for easy on the fly modding, plus the inclusion of two other fans, one Led on top of the case and one low-profile fan, giving you a three phase cooling chamber, the same as the CoolerMaster HAF but with smaller fans and not that fully packed like it.
For the performance isle, it went well in the air cooling part with all-round passive cooling resulting, 34 degrees in idle and 60 degrees in load, but when you have the inclusion of the internal fans it the board, you get a small decrease of temps going 30 degrees and 54 degrees in idle and load respectively. But with some flaws with this hybrid Cosmos and HAF case with some minor annoyances in installing and some carelessness, with some screws can be caught in the bottom of the case and never see the light of day. But overall this can be a good case for those in a budget in case the price is already up online it is dependent of what CoolerMaster is going to do with it, it could be a good LAN case with some cheap air circulation.
