Cooler Master is really unveiling the new scout PC ATX form factor case. With the success with the sniper series case that they also unveiled recently last two months ago, it was a budget type of case with enough space to handle most of the air cooling and some water-cooling system and able to give enough features to go with the rest of the pack. Definitely the case form Cooler Master is a great master piece but short of being perfect budget case for the masses.
So we are going to move on to the new stage of their new case series from Cooler Master their own scout series case. So the scout has the same colouration as the previous sniper case with all black aluminium chassis and also a plastic interior to muffle out the vibrations given out when the fans are maxed out when the demanding cooling is needed and also a price and quite of non-vibrating and whirring case. With the same as the sniper case, the Scout employs to have a physical ATX motherboard form factor and also a feature packs in the both of the outside (the front jacks with all of the connection you need like USB ports, one eSATA port, the microphone an d audio jack present and the usual power and reset buttons all but functional) plus the addition of having a top handle for the case for those people who like to move their rigs in one place to another or just can’t make a straightforward decision on where the rig is going to be.
Interior of the case is all but the norm with the seven standard PCI slots present with tool less design for the ease of installing one of your many arrays of Audio cards, graphics cards and also some other peripheral cards you like to add. Plus the addition of more space given in the back of the case for those hidden wire placement and also the present of three red LED fans in on the top the back and in the front, giving enough air pushing inside the case a possible to maximum air turbulence, which in turn make the heat-producing devices cooler that it suppose to be in the normal condition case that may cost about $100 tops. With space for the board secure, the five external optical and an option of having 3.5in floppy or all in one device port in one of the bays make a good option of having a combination of one DVD or blu-ray burner, a water-cooling block and one floppy if you still run XP OS system in your rig, but you can replace it easily with a all in one port that I have mentioned, and the usual six internal 3.5in HHD bays and hot-swappable inside the case.
Par on the design and the performance, it looks great when you light it up with the usual reds LED’s and the mains black as the case, brilliant with all light shows popping out when you play games at night and also with the triple phase fans the temps of a typical dual core rig about 50 degrees overall at load and cooler 30 degrees ant idle in a matter of 58dBA and 37dBa in their respective order. Finalising it, cooler master scout is a applicable case too look out for the usual extras and a lower than expected prize atg don’t expect this as the low profile unit.
