NVIDIA to my word a great company with not great products, just to interpret, NVIDIA is a strong company and is one of few, only two, companies that still produce high-performance video computing, with the help of monopoly and bribing, really made the company what it is, but for what it is making to lose its touch.
The new GTX series
The GTX in NVIDIA is mostly in the end of their model names just to name a few are the 8800GTX and the newer 9800GTX, but now they made the GTX name on the first thing on their minds to introduce the video card in Nvision in 2008. Well, they really made a start in the beginning of the number count with the 200 series, that makes this video card special is because NVIDIA threw the idea of continuing with the 9 series for its technical flaws, but still new, they don’t want to continue with the previous hardware architectures so they made this from scratch, by combining the NVIDIA power house of a GPU with the newly formed alliance with AEGIA, with their Physics processing unit, and chuck in a long PCB and chunky fan and heat sink combo that is permanently enclosed the PCB top to bottom.

The technical information of the GTX 200 is one GPU and one PPU that are hot wired to each other and making the same as the 9800GX2, but crammed in one PCB die, with 602MHz and memory about 1Gb for the 280 and 896MB for 260, with memory and shader clocks at above 1GHz, (NVIDA are now improving on the memory bandwidth of how much information is passing thought the PCB rather than raw core power). But for lower clock speed on the core, the new AEGIA will handle most of the floatign calcucations to and from the video card, with the word that slips though my mind, (I think it is called the CUDA parallel processing).
Test with the others
With the test with the GTX 280, is more of a great achievement on the raw performance of the GPU, with the help of the CUDA system parallel computing, and a higher memory block, increases the frames from the 9800 GX2 to about 10 to 20fps, a better improvement on Crysis or DX10 related games. In the battle with the ATi cards, it is more of a win, win situation with NVIDIA with their ATI 3000 series especially the 3870 X2. But for the new 4000 series of ATI is a different story, being a refurbished grade from the previous HD300 series, it gave more of an effort for NVIDIA GTX to keep the frame score high enough to compete the new dual GPU king.Â
Conclusion
ATI still gets the triumphs on the raw performance of the gaming department, dual core high-end 4870X2, as for the price, it varies to about $800, more or less, you just negotiate, but for the GTX200 only hovers in the $600 mark, good for a price to performance ratio,if you are only talking NVIDIAÂ definitely a best buy for making a newer NVIDIA graphics system.
