NVIDIA graphics hit themselves up into the top of the rank in the graphics performance. With the introduction of the new dual PCB GTX 295 with a simple configuration of a hybrid GTX280 and a GTX216/260, fit into a dual slot graphics hitting most high end games into the high 60> frames per second. So the mainstream graphics in the NVIDIA wagon looks up to their bigger brothers the GTX range. In the fact that NVIDIA haven’t introduced any of their mainstream graphics for the past year or so, only the 9000 series from is the only medium for the company to sell their 9800GT’s their mainstream graphics and also the 9800GTX and GTX+. Being their only source of the budgeter graphics from NVIDIA, some people or the whole community want to see cards in the low $250 or in the list of affordable cards.
Most of our part like the new GTS 250 is actually a revision of the older G92 chipset. It has the same characteristics of the older 9800GTX+ card, being only a physical face lift and the six pin external power supply is ripped off in the manufacturing process, which means the power draw from the original 9800GTX+ original power draw is reduced into separating it from the high end from the 9000 series before hitting the dual cores, from the so called “cheap mainstream card”. Most of the part the features of the GTS 250 and in the Zotac vendors, make this a dual slot no external power supply and a G92 core.

As the GTS250 AMP is retailing around the $148US mark it nestles quite nicely between the two GPU’s and should provide some stiff competition. However, we are edging ever closer to a major ATI revision with the impending arrival of the 5 series of GPU’s now being ‘guesstimated’ around the world wide web so it will remain to be seen just how this latest revision of the GTS250 compares not only to the current crop of GPU’s but to the storm of ATI cards brewing on the horizon. For now though we will throw the GTS250 AMP into the maelstrom of current GPU’s from the low end to the current kings of power to see how well it performs.
So as well as it looks like one of the cheaper versions of the GTX series of NVIDIA, with none of the external power supply clouded in the higher-end cards but playable enough in high end games with some few exceptions, for most of the part GTS250’s looks as a good replacement for the 9800GT in some ways and also the 9800GTx in the form factor and price.

But most of the part in the GTS250 from Zotac will be of par and higher performance. With the smaller power draw makes it ideal for budget buyers in computing. Much of the performance of the Zotac GTS250 AMP! Looks pretty similar to the 9800GTX+ but with the a little bit of imagination makes this an ideal SLI rig in half of the price of a single GTX285, but have to add some digits in the equation. Pretty much this card is ideal for NVIDA fans who like a mainstream product.
